Option A: 9:15AM - 12:00PM - CPR Refresher
Attain your Adult, Child, Infant CPR Certification with discussion on care of a drowning patient. Be ready in case of drowning or cardiac arrest with these life-saving skills. Will include an introduction to advanced drowning care.
CPR Certification A La Carte: $35ish (Training Materials Included)
Option B: 9:00AM-12:00PM Advanced Drowning Care: (for those with CPR and rescue breath certification)
This workshop is for those with prior CPR certification and training in rescue breaths. Learn about the process of drowning and the key steps to manage a drowning patient. Dispel common myths. This will include didactics and hands-on portions. Learn skills to make a difference in the outcome of the drowning patient.
12:00PM-1:00PM - Lunch
1:00PM-2:00PM - Sprains, Fractures, and Dislocations: Learn about recognition, assessment, and treatment of common musculoskeletal injuries in paddling. Practice splinting and creating slings. Learn about shoulder dislocation treatment.
2:00PM-3:00PM - Medical Concerns: What’s in your paddling medical kit? In a scenario-based format, learn about common medical conditions encountered in paddlesports, including anaphylaxis, snake bites, heat-related illness, and hypothermia.
3:00PM-4:00PM - Break
4:00PM-8:00PM - Boat-based rescue: Today’s paddlesports leader requires rescue skills for all types of paddlecraft. These modules will provide opportunities to use various boats as rescue platforms and to rescue people from different boat types.

9:00AM-1:00PM - Refining fundamental skills: Wading, swimming, rope throwing, and rescue vest applications are core swiftwater rescue skills. These modules will refine existing skills and develop advanced applications.
1:00PM to 4:00PM - Lunch and visit vendors from the Paddlesports Trade Coalition (PTC) Colab
